Elsewedy Cement Company (ESCC) currently produces three main types of cement products.
1- Portland Cement: CEM I 42,5 N
Portland cement is general purpose used cement is the basic building material for construction of buildings and civil engineering works. It is suitable for all uses where the special properties of other type are not required such as Sulphate resistance. Major use of Portland cement include but not limited to reinforced concrete structures, bridges, dams, railway structures, roads, tanks, reservoirs, pipes, floors, pavements, sidewalks and masonry units. It is available in bags (50 kg/bag) or in bulks. It is produced according to the Egyptian standards ES 4756-1/2022 and European Standard EN 197-1/2011.
2- Portland Sulphate-Resisting Cement: CEM I 42,5 N – SR 5
Sulphate-Resisting Cement is applicable in concrete that might be exposed to severe Sulphate attack that might be mainly from soils or water. It is specified with low Tricalcium Aluminate (C3A) content, generally less than 5.0%. It is can be used as main building material in all concrete constructions such as reinforced concrete foundations, sewage drainage tanks and bridge foundations which are exposed to be directly affected by Sulphate . It is very useful to be used in sewage concrete pipes and lining steel pipes used for the same purpose. It is available in bags (50 kg/bag) or in bulks. It is produced according to the Egyptian standard ES 4756-1/2022 and the European Standard EN 197-1/2011.
3- Masonry Cement : MC 22,5 X
Masonry Cement is just joint recently to Elsewedy cement products portfolio, is a form of eco-friendly cement and due to the optimum specific surface area it uses in all the Plaster works and masonry mortar which is often used in brick and masonry construction masonry mortar is used to lay brick or block
, Masonry Cement are specially formulated and manufactured to produce masonry mortar. Masonry Cement uses effectively in plaster and walls building
it’s available in bags (50 kg/bag) . It is produced according to the European Standard EN 413-1/2011.and Egyptian standard ES 8498-1/2022
